Goodman Planning Win Boosts Uxbridge Expansion

21 April 2009

Global property group Goodman has secured reserved matters planning approval for a new office building at its highly successful Uxbridge Business Park.

Situated in a prime location at the front of the Park, Goodman's development will be designed by international architects Aukett Fitzroy Robinson and provide flexible grade A office accommodation that is capable of servicing requirements up to 30,000 sq ft.

Set in 149 acres of open parkland within a low density development zone, Uxbridge Business Park offers a secure and relaxed working environment within a few minutes walk of the town centre and its impressive retail amenities. Occupiers also have access to a free private shuttle bus service.

Goodman has instructed joint letting agents Strutt and Parker and Savills to secure a pre-let for this increasingly sought after location that has already attracted companies such as Cadbury's, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Amgen, taking the number of employees already at the Park to over 2,500.

James Raven, Goodman's Development Director of UK Business Parks said: "Uxbridge is a vibrant and growing town and this next stage of development at the Park will further enhance its reputation as an attractive office location on the outskirts of London. With its close proximity to town centre facilities and London's Underground and motorway networks, we are confident that this development will attract new business to the area and provide existing businesses with room for expansion."

Uxbridge Business Park sits within the Arlington Business Parks Partnership Fund (ABPP), which is managed by Goodman. It has an excellent track record of investing in, developing and managing business parks across the UK with a portfolio valued at over £1.5 billion.

It has delivered superior business space solutions for blue-chip customers including Cadbury Schweppes, GMAC, T-Mobile, Oxfam and NATS. In October 2008, Goodman scooped two awards at Property Week's 2008 Office Development Awards, winning the "Best overall development outside central London" and "Best bespoke development outside central London" categories.
