Miles of fun at Uxbridge Business Park for Sport Relief

Global property group Goodman and occupiers at Uxbridge Business Park joined forces on Friday 19th March to get active, raise money and change lives.
Employees from Amgen, the world’s largest biotechnology company, and Goodman, hit the ground running, skipping and walking for an afternoon of high energy, running a mile circuit around the Park in aid of Sport Relief. The mile set off from the office buildings, leading out to the Park’s open meadows and then along the Grand Union Canal that runs through the site.
The event helped raise over £350 and the money will go to towards helping people living unimaginably tough lives both across the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
James Raven, Development Director of Goodman Business Parks UK said: “Sport Relief is a fantastic event for our Park community to get involved and have some fun for a good cause. The event was hugely successful and we’re very proud of all the occupiers who took part.”
Elaine Orchiston, Clinical Research Study Manager at Amgen who took part in the race, said: “With its open meadows and parkland Uxbridge Business Park provided the perfect backdrop for this fun event that gave us the opportunity to meet co-workers, and certainly brought out our competitive streak!”
Set in 149 acres of open parkland within a low density development zone, Uxbridge Business Park offers a secure and relaxed working environment within a few minutes walk of the town centre and its impressive retail amenities. Occupiers also have access to a free private shuttle bus service.
Goodman has instructed joint letting agents Strutt and Parker and Savills to secure occupiers for this increasingly sought after location that has already attracted world renowned companies such as Cadbury’s, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Amgen, taking the number of employees already at the Park to over 2,500.
